This technically challenging, three storey complex at Griffith University’s Gold Coast Campus, required MPN’s innovative approach to deliver outstanding results.
The building features various spaces for students and staff including collaborative areas, computer lounges and quiet spaces. It is also home to the GUMURRII Centre for the support of the universities indigenous students.
MPN’s services ensured the following project objectives were achieved:
- The large triangular shaped cantilever, appropriately named ‘The Shard’, was free of any structural support creating an iconic entrance to the University
campus. MPN’s innovative design of this technically challenging structure enabled this landmark to be achieved. - MPN provided a number of value engineering options to the client to assist in reducing the costs of the project and meeting the client’s budget.
