Anzac Avenue Off Ramp Upgrades
Traffic flow and pedestrian safety improvements

Client Scentre Group

Location North Lakes, Brisbane

Discipline Civil

Date Completed January 2016

Sector Civil Infrastructure

Increased vehicle capacity and improved safety for the merge to Anzac Avenue was achieved in work completed on the existing Bruce Highway off ramp at North Lakes.

The new off ramp provided additional lanes for vehicle queuing off the Bruce Highway along with a new set of signals for vehicle and pedestrian movement control. The works ensured vehicles were not queuing back onto the highway during peak periods and pedestrians were able to safely move across the off ramp towards the Westfield shopping centre at North Lakes.

MPN completed works from design phase through to finalised construction. This included the construction management services and authority liaison with TMR, Telstra, QLD Government for the relocations of multiple services including major fibre optic, significant electrical services and vehicle monitoring cameras.
