This major, two phase project saw MPN undertake a significant redevelopment and extension of the Market Hall and Northern and Western Malls of a bustling Gold Coast shopping centre.
The Northern Mall redevelopment included provision for the addition of major tenants Woolworths and Big W, plus new cinemas and an entertainment precinct. MPN were able to provide solutions to the engineering challenge of realigning existing structural supports to allow integration of the new malls and the structural grid to support new retail tenancies.
The Western Mall development comprised the integration of a 1500m2 tenancy within an operating high fashion mall. Challenges overcome at this phase were completing works with minimal disruption to centre operations.
The market hall redevelopment created a new arrival experience to the southern portion of the centre. It included a multi-storey car park and a food precinct, all designed beneath a unique wave form roof.
