MPN provided impactful structural engineering services for a new state-of-the-art extrusion feed mill in Westbury, Tasmania.
The project scope included a six-storey, steel framed feed mill tower which contains the specialist equipment required for the highly technical production processes. The mill has capacity for up to 50,000 tonnes of feed. Adjacent to the process tower is a finished goods and raw materials warehouse.
The facility manufactures and supplies feed to the salmon industry in Australia and New Zealand, as well as other aquaculture and extruded feed users on the mainland.
MPN partnered with Wiley and Ridley in a collaboration that ensured the structure was designed for optimum food production and has the capacity for expansion in the future.
