Operational efficiencies of the base were achieved by combining eight separate existing facilities into a single large mess facility.
The design and construction of Gallipoli Barracks Stage One redevelopment encompassed a massive building footprint of over 1 hectare. Although large, it integrated seamlessly with a trajectory of Enoggera Creek and serves to protect and enhance the local environment with water sensitive urban design principles created by MPN.
Other elements of the redevelopment project included office accommodation for HQ 7BDE, car parking, office facilities for 8 Personnel Services (8PSC) and ADF Investigative Services (ADFIS).
